Saturday night I was at my friend’s house and I left around 1 am. Where I was walking in Panagouli, I saw him for the first time coming backwards on his bicycle. As the witness, who was working as a deliveryman that night, testified:I was doing the last order when I see the accused with the bicycle in his hand following the girl. Something wasn’t right for me and I stopped. I see him get on the bike and continue at a slow pace. Then I hear the girl scream. I tell them to calm down and follow him». The young distributor testified that he stopped the defendant and did not let him go until a passer-by called the police.

For a good child who had not given rights in the past, his mother spoke, and added that she cannot understand what led her son to this act. “I take responsibility as a mother and am ashamed of the incident. It is something terrible and offensive. I sincerely apologize and guarantee his remorseamong others, the mother of the defendant testified in court.

The latter in his apology began by apologizing to the girl and her family, and added that while this is no excuse in the past he faced some health problems. “I have regretted and want to investigate why I did this act” testified the defendant, who is a graduate of the Department of Education, concluding his statement.

The court ultimately found him guilty and sentenced him to 8 months in prison suspended for three years.
