“I literally lost the ground under my feet” says Elizabeth Lekka, wife of 53-year-old Ilias Michou in a first statement after the stormy developments in the rape case of the 12-year-old girl in Colonos.

On 3/9 in the morning, the mother of the minor girl sent me a message through a social network saying she wanted to talk and shared with me two conversations between my ex-husband and the child, with shocking content, writing to me that she would report him for “sexual harassment of a minor”. , as she wrote to me and that if she doesn’t do it, her sister will, who also sent me a message with these dialogues.

I literally lost the ground under my feet, immediately we spoke with the mother of the child by voice call and she repeated the same to me. I promptly demanded that my ex-husband leave the house, as he did, and that we get a divorce, telling him that if he did not give me consent, I would file for divorce citing what I had learned. Inevitably he agreed, we turned to lawyers, the necessary private agreement was drawn up and signed and on October 4th we signed the deed of dissolution of marriage at a notary public and we were irrevocably separated.

After 3/9, after the mother of the child sent me the messages of the dialogues and informed me, and after that same night, without my knowledge, she went to A.T. and denounced my ex-husband, asked me for money.

The first time 100 Euros for the taxi and to take the child to a doctor, as she wrote to me in a text message, which I gave her. After a few days she again asked me for another 100 with a similar excuse and I gave it to her, for humanitarian reasons and shocked by what she revealed to me in the messages.

In the messages she wrote that she allegedly has not gone to the Police and that she wants me to help her, whenever she asks me to and she asked me again on 8/9 for another 100 euros.

I didn’t answer because I didn’t want this to continue, I received repeated text messages to meet her to give her the money, and after eleven (11) missed calls, which are recorded on my cell phone, as well as her messages asking me for money, I blocked her and did not allow any further contact. It is absolutely false that I allegedly visited her at her home, offered her money and she refused. Her text messages are in my possession and prove beyond doubt who was asking for money, lying about not going to the Police.

My ex-husband will be judged by the Justice. What I am asking is for the lies and cannibalism of me and my child, who completely unjustifiably lost his job, to stop for actions we have nothing to do with. For those who did not write terrible slanders and targeted us, going so far as to say that I allegedly knew and covered up or that a warrant for my arrest was allegedly issued, we will appeal to the only competent court, the Court.
