There are also big problems in Sitia due to the heavy rainfall caused by the bad weather that has been affecting the area since the early hours of the morning today.

According to information from the Fire Service, eight tourists and a guard have been trapped in the Archaeological Museum of Sitia and have sought help from the authorities without being in danger.

At the same time, the Fire Department of the area received calls from two cars in which their passengers were trapped. Each of the vehicles carries two people.

Speaking earlier on the show “Oi Dekatianoi” on SKAI, the mayor of Sitia said that the situation is out of control and that the phenomena in the area are unprecedented.

The Fire Service also received calls to pump water that engulfed shops and houses in Agios Nikolaos, Ierapetra, but most of the problems.
