A woman in Patras complains of extreme abuse by her husband: He beat her even when she was pregnant

“I’m afraid. I want my nightmare to end” said the woman who is now separated from her husband to her surroundings

In the defendant’s dock sat a scion of a well-known business family of Patras, who recently faced financial problems, even being accused by his estranged wife and the mother of their child, of… “abusive behavior, beatings and threats”.

The young woman lives in Patras, without her family since she comes from another area and was essentially called to face everything that happens to her alone, as well as the upbringing of the former couple’s child.

As she complained to “Peloponnisos”, he beat her even when she was pregnant, that is, 2 years ago.

The episodes were consecutive and he was forced, at some point, to report them to the authorities. So, he filed a lawsuit, as he often beat her and threatened her in front of the child.

The young woman, who works in a well-known service in Patras, was forced to leave the house. She rented another one and with the help of her family she tried to raise her child.

The woman claims that he threatened her with alimony and only gave her 200 euros a month, even though he is the son of a family with a “heavy business name” in Patras.

At the same time, he provided him with the communication he wanted with the child, but it seems that this “meeting” was also the occasion for “outbursts, incidents, threats and “abusive behavior”.

It should be pointed out that despite the temporary order of injunctions, according to which her personal belongings from their family home were to be returned to her, her ex-husband, as she claims, has not yet returned them, while, according to with her, she has also emptied the joint bank account they had.

The glass overflowed last Wednesday night, when the estranged husband had contact with the child and on their return he fought fiercely with the woman.

She went to the Police Department and filed a case against her for defamation and the police arrested her (Thursday noon) through her Service, in uniform, which made her feel hugely ashamed and while she didn’t seem to understand what she had done.

Finally, she was released late at night and after her child had been deprived of her all day.

Yesterday the man was due to sit in the dock again for “abusive behaviour”, but he was absent from the Court. A witness confirmed that he had covid 19, so he could not attend and the hearing was postponed.

“I’m afraid. I want my nightmare to end” the woman said to her surroundings.
