Dora Tsambazi thanked everyone who attended the funeral of the 43-year-old Olympic champion at noon on Saturday

A few hours after the last goodbye to Alexandros Nikolaidis, his wife Dora Tsambazis, with a new touching post, thanked everyone who was “present” at noon on Saturday at the funeral of the 43-year-old Olympian.

In her post on Instagram, she states that “I feel only blessing and happiness that this man came into my life, that we fell in love so strongly, that he looked into my eyes and showed me with his words and his actions that I am the one, that everything “What lived before was drops and I was the ocean.”

At the same time, she accompanied her post with a photo from their wedding.

The post in detail

Some time ago someone from the environment said to me, “What misfortune has befallen you my girl” and I immediately stopped him.

Since when is love an accident?
Since when is finding the person with whom your hearts completely click is unlucky?

I feel only blessing and happiness that this man came into my life, that we fell in love so strongly, that he looked into my eyes and showed me with his words and his actions that I am the one, that everything he lived before was drops and I the ocean.

In these times with such shallow emotions, finding your man is a lottery even if it’s only for one night.
So the glass for me is not just half full, it’s full. If some people say they live 30 years with their man and call that “we lived a life together”, I who lived 10 years with him will say I lived 1/3 of life with him and that’s a lot, believe me.

Because it would be a real misfortune and misery if I hadn’t met you, my love.

Words have dried up for your love and support in our unspeakable pain. I would like to say a big thank you for taking some of your time for us. The kids and I are fine, we just need some time and peace.

We will not hide, we will not shut ourselves up, we will not mourn in the classic way, but by opening our arms to those who are going through now or have gone through what we also experienced, with the nightmare called cancer. We are here mentally close to you, you are not alone, my social media will remain open for anyone who needs to share their own feelings, their own bad experience, to talk somewhere, to get out of themselves all that they are living.

After all, if this great loss has taught us anything in the most painful way, it is that solidarity works wonders. Even this miracle is “only” a life extension. Because life, no matter how long it lasts, is always a miracle.

Do me a favor. Hug your loved ones tight tonight, sleep in each other’s arms.

Time is not a doctor, love is. ❤️
