Only in the municipality of Hersonissos, as he reported to ERT Heraklion the mayor Yiannis Segos, it is estimated that at least 50 houses have been damaged by the floods, while in the municipality of Malevizi, as Mayor Menelaos Bokeas told ERT, it is estimated that the requests from house owners that have been damaged will rise to about 50as there are still citizens who were absent and do not yet have a clear picture of the state of their properties.

The process of submitting applications and completing the required supporting documents has started and for the convenience of the citizens it was decided to have steps in the affected areas, which will help the affected. “The process from us will run at a very fast pace and as soon as we have gathered all the data we will send it to the competent ministry to demarcate the affected areas and immediately after that the first aid of 600 euros and the support for household appliances of up to 6,000 euros”.
