Paris is “boiling” after the violent death of 12-year-old Lola

by

Society is shocked, while the extreme right seized the opportunity to attack the government for its immigration policy, as the alleged murderer is of Algerian origin.

Her parents are inconsolable 12-year-old Lolawho was found butchered in a suitcase outside the building where she lived and where her parents worked as janitors.

Disconsolate and in search of some peace, they left it Paris to join the little girl’s grandmother at the family’s paternal home in a small village to the west, in the Pas de Calais.

In Paris, however, the place is boiling. The neighborhood is upset, there is no more empty space left to leave flowers, candles and tributes outside the house, while a team of psychologists has been available to the citizens since yesterday. The same at Lola’s school to support her classmates.

Disturbance also prevails in the French Parliament. As soon as the identity of the 24-year-old alleged murderer became known, the political world seized the issue.
The right and far-right yesterday launched a head-on attack on the government on immigration and the issue of deportations, which due to its “relaxation” as they accuse it, it has not been able to implement. And all this because the 24-year-old, who has already been remanded in custody, originally from Algeria, had no papers, while in August a special mandatory deportation document was sent to her.

“What are you waiting for to act to stop out-of-control illegal immigration?” wondered Marine Le Pen, adding: “Once again the suspect of the barbaric act should not be in France. The country froze in horror when it learned of the torture of little Lola.”

Prime Minister Elizabeth Bonn intervened and asked for “respect for Lola’s memory” and “respect for the pain of her parents”, considering that this was not the time for such polemics in Parliament.

However, the extreme right is organizing a white march tomorrow in Paris in memory of Lola, and this against the will of the parents who deny the “political manipulation” of their daughter’s death. Former presidential candidate Eric Zemur, as well as some officials of the right wing of the Republicans, have also declared participation in the march.
