Pyrros Dimas: At first I was bothered by racist comments, now I don’t care what the other person says

“In Greece we have not managed to overcome this type of prejudice and we will never manage to overcome them” said the Olympic champion among other things

The Olympic champion gave a full interview, Pyrros Dimas, who spoke, among other things, about the racist attitudes he encountered both during the first years he came to Greece, and today, and revealed to what extent these attitudes and positions affect him.

“In Greece we have not managed to overcome this type of prejudice and we will never manage to overcome them. I believe this, it’s just that I have changed. At first it bothered me, now it doesn’t bother me anymore. I don’t care what the other person says. I know what I am and who I am” he said speaking to ERT and the show “Epilogos” where he was a guest.

“It’s not just about the course, it’s also about how you see things after 30 years. At first it bothered me or rather hurt me. It’s one thing to bother me and another to hurt me. After 30 years, the comments don’t affect me at all. This is all racist, but it really doesn’t bother me at all anymore,” added Pyrros Dimas.
