Emergency traffic arrangements will take place on Friday October 28 in all the municipalities of the prefecture of Attica due to the holding of student parades to celebrate the national anniversary of October 28.
The traffic regulations include a gradual stoppage of vehicle traffic from 08:00 and a ban on stopping and parking from 06:00 in the morning
Particularly, in the Municipalities Athens and Piraeus vehicular traffic on the following streets and avenues will be closed as follows:
Municipality of Athens (central parade), from 09:00 until the end of the parade:
– L. Vas. Amalia, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
– El. Venizelou (University), along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
– St. Vas. Sofia, in the section between St. Vas. Kon/nou and El. Venizelos (University) in both traffic streams, as well as in the perpendicular ones up to the first parallel street.
– Syngrou Street, in the section between Ath. Diakos and Dionysios Areopagitou streets.
– Ath. Diakou, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
Municipality of Athens [Καθεδρικός Μητροπολιτικός Ναός Αθηνών (Δοξολογία)]from 06:00 until the end of the events:
-Metropolis, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
– L. Vas. Olgas, along its entire length in both traffic streams.
Municipality of Piraeus – From 09:00 to 14:00:
– 34th Infantry Regiment, in the section between Omiridou Skylitsis and El. Venizelou.
– Iroon Polytechniou, in the section between El. Venizelos and 2nd Division.
Drivers of vehicles are requested, to prevent additional traffic problems, to avoid traffic on the roads where the parades will take place and to follow the instructions of the traffic controllers.
