Extension of dikes.moj.gov.gr to the Courts of Thessaloniki

Electronic and real-time information on the progress of the exhibits in the Courts of Thessaloniki

The expansion of the new citizen information system in real time on the course of the Court exhibits (Electronic Boards) at the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal of Thessaloniki were presented today by the Minister of Justice, Kostas Tsiaras and the Minister of State and Digital Governance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis.

The pilot application of the platform was started by the Court of First Instance of Athens for all civil and criminal cases, while the service will soon be extended to the Courts of Appeal and Courts of First Instance of Piraeus and Chalkida, as well as to the Court of Appeal of Athens.

Now, the interested parties (parties, witnesses, etc.) via the dikes.moj.gov.gr website can know in real time which case is being heard at that moment in a specific board or a specific courtroom in Thessaloniki, contributing in the way this, on the one hand, to avoid overcrowding in the courtrooms and on the other hand, to the smoother flow of court proceedings.

The service can be used by all citizens, without registration or personalized connection and it concerns exclusively the progress of the cases of the day (cases that have been tried, are about to be tried or will not be tried and belong to the same board).

The information presented is anonymized, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The presentation of the application took place in Thessaloniki during an Information Day of the Ministry of Justice on the settlement of payments, in the presence of the president of the Three-Member Board of Administration of the Court of Appeal of Thessaloniki, president of Appeals, Sofia Mantzakidou and the president of the Thessaloniki Bar Association, Dimitris Finokaliotis.
