Fortunately, there is this recipe for waffles with bacon, cheddar and apple to satisfy all tastes, and especially to be on the list of our favorite recipes for breakfast!

What you will need (for about 12 waffles):
2¼ cups (281 grams) flour for all uses
1 tablespoon (15 grams) baking powder
1 tablespoon (13 grams) granulated sugar
Or teaspoon of salt
1 cup (420 ml) kefir or sour milk, at room temperature
Or cup (114 grams) unsalted butter, melted and cold
2 large eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten
1 άνι cup (126 grams) grated cheddar cheese
1 cup (118 grams) grated green apples
300 grams of bacon in strips
maple syrup, for serving
How to make them:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, butter and eggs. Add half the flour mixture each time to the milk mixture, stirring in each addition until smooth. Do not mix the dough too much. Add the cheddar cheese and apples. Let the dough rest for about 20 minutes.

Lightly spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Place 3 strips of bacon directly on the waffle iron. Close the waffle iron and bake the bacon for about 4 minutes. Pour about ¾ cup (180 ml) of your dough into the waffle iron over the bacon. Bake each waffle for 7 to 8 minutes or according to the instructions of the waffle iron.

Serve the waffles with hot maple syrup.
