The 55-year-old woman fell dead from the “hands” of her mother-in-law, who shot her three times in a patisserie, this morning in Nea Madyto, Thessaloniki, as first reported by GRTimes.
The motives of the murder, which have shocked the small village of the municipality of Volvi in Thessaloniki, remain unknown so far.

According to the victim’s brother, George Foundounas, his sister was going to get bread from the pastry shop near the health center, when at that moment a person who got out of a car shot at her with a carbine at least three times, with resulting in her being injured. As he said, he was informed that during her transport to the hospital he left her last breath.
The woman is said to have originated from Trikala, while for the last about a month and a half she lived in Nea Madyto at her brother’s house.
Mr. Foundounas stated that he did not know if his sister had any differences. However, she mentioned that a while ago, the 53-year-old had divorced and had some differences with her ex-husband.
