A total of 108 calls for pumping water, cutting trees, removing objects and moving people to safe places were received by the Operations Center of the Fire Department from yesterday morning, Saturday November 5th until this afternoon, due to the occurrence of heavy rains.

Specifically, the Operations Center of the Fire Brigade received calls from the following areas:

In the Attica Region, 59 calls, of which 18 for pumping water, 31 for cutting trees, 7 for removal of objects and 3 for removal of people to safe places.

In the Region of Central Macedonia, 8 calls, of which 3 for water pumping and 5 for tree cutting.

In the Region of Western Macedonia 1 call for tree cutting.

In the Peloponnese Region, 10 calls, of which 2 for water pumping and 8 for tree cutting.

In the Region of Western Greece 4 calls, of which 3 for cutting trees and 1 for object removal.

In the Region of Epirus 12 calls, of which 1 for pumping water, 10 for cutting trees and 1 for object removal.

In the Region of the Ionian Islands 11 calls, of which 3 for water pumping and 8 for cutting trees.

In the Region of Central Greece, 2 calls for tree cutting.

In Thessaly Region 1 call for tree cutting.

At the same time, the Fire Brigade strongly advises citizens, and especially those who drive, to be particularly careful and follow basic self-protection instructions, given that the phenomena are expected to continue tomorrow in various regions of the country.
