The Easiest Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies – You’ll Go Crazy…

With few and not expensive ingredients, in 25 minutes you will have the cookies on your plate!

To make these soft, chewy, incredibly easy Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies you need a bowl and simple ingredients: oats, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg for spice.

What do you need:

  • 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 and 1/4 cups (155 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (86 g) oats
  • 1/2 cup (85 g) chocolate chips
  • Coarse sea salt or table salt (optional, for sprinkling on top)

How to make it:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a shallow pan with non-stick paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, spices, baking soda and salt.
  3. Mix together the flour and oats until it forms a dough. Add the chocolate chips.
  4. With a spoon measure the same quantities, make small balls and lay them in a row with a distance of about 6-7 centimeters between them. Add additional chocolate chips to the tops of each ball, if desired.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes! Sprinkle sea salt on top after baking if desired.
  6. Let the cookies cool for at least 5 minutes. Keep well covered, at room temperature for up to 5 days.
