Ministry of Labour: GEMISOE promotes transparency in trade unions

by

On the occasion of the publication of a summary of the decision of the 4th Department of the Council of Ministers on GEMISOE, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announces the following:

“The General Register of Trade Union Organizations of Workers (GEMISOE) is a reform that promotes transparency, democratic functioning and representativeness in trade unionism. His promotion is not unrelated to the incidents that took place at the last GSEE conference and to the questioning of representativeness and transparency from within, with complaints from both sides.

The decision of the 4th Section of the Council of Ministers, as it was published in summary, does not affect the new institution of GEMISOE in its core. Only individual issues of operation are touched upon in said decision of the Fourth Department and are referred to the plenary for final judgment.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will submit its views to the Plenary of the Court. In any case, given that GEMISOE is not disputed, all necessary measures will be taken for its effective operation”.
