A 33-year-old man was identified as the perpetrator, against whom a case was filed for manslaughter, while he is wanted by the police authorities
The investigation into the murder of a 42-year-old man, whose body was found on the morning of October 28, in an outdoor area, in Dendropotamos, Thessaloniki, was announced by EL.AS.
A 33-year-old man was identified as the perpetrator, against whom a case was filed for manslaughter, while he is wanted by the police authorities. The reasons for the murder appear to be personal differences, as stated in a police statement.
According to the same announcement, it is alleged that there was an argument between the two men – both of Greek origin – and as one conversation led to another, the 33-year-old mortally wounded the 42-year-old, using physical violence, leaving him unconscious at the scene.
Initially there were indications that the death was due to the use of drugs, a version which was supported by the fact that the location of the victim is in a hangout for drug addicts, while in addition paraphernalia was collected that proved the use of psychotropic substances.
However, the findings from the forensic examination revealed injuries on his body that refer to a criminal act, so the case was taken over by the Department of Crimes against Life of Thessaloniki. The case file was submitted to the Thessaloniki First Instance Prosecutor’s Office.
