Revelations of huge graffiti dedicated to Ennio Morricone in Rome

Ennio’s son Marco Morricone was present at yesterday’s graffiti unveiling

Massive graffiti dedicated to the late great Italian composer unveiled Eno Morricone they took place in Rome, in the city where he was born, on the facade of a building in Piazza Lorenzo Lotto.

The project “Vista su Roma” created on the initiative of the Roma Cares organization, the Roma football team was commissioned to the artist Luca Maleonte. The work, with the composer’s portrait, was chosen by the group’s fans through the socios.com platform.

Ennio’s son Marco Morricone was present at the unveiling of the graffiti on Thursday along with the club’s director of community relations Francesco Pastorella and representatives of the local authorities.

“My father he was a son of Rome, of the Roman world and as I often say he never allowed himself to be attracted by the glamor from abroad, but wanted to stay here, well aware of the fact that music has no passports and borders” said Marco Morricone.

Ennio Morricone is considered one of the greatest composers not only of film music, but of all time. During his career he composed music for more than 500 films, winning the most important awards: two Oscars, three Grammys, three Golden Globes, six BAFTAs and ten David di Donatello.
