According to a medical bulletin released by the hospital, “image tests were performed: echocardiogram, angiotomography and PET scan, which are normal and continue to show complete remission of the tumor diagnosed in 2011”.

“The nasofibroscopy exam shows inflammatory changes resulting from vocal effort and a small area of leukoplakia in the larynx”, completes the bulletin. Leukoplakia is characterized by white patches.

The president-elect was accompanied by medical teams coordinated by cardiologist Roberto Kalil Filho, who is his physician, and by Artur Katz and Rubens Brito.

On social media, Padilha wrote that “the results were great” and that Lula is “firm and strong to change Brazil”. “The tumor he had 10 years ago is in complete remission and his health is ready to rule the country for years to come,” said the parliamentarian.

Lula’s press office reported that he left the hospital around 2:30 pm. The president arrived at the scene at 10:30 am.

Such as Sheet showed in August, the hoarseness displayed by Lula in campaign activities became a concern among allies. According to them, at that moment, the excessive hoarseness of the voice had to do with the events themselves and with gastric reflux acquired by the PT. The elected president exercises with a speech therapist.

In a speech to parliamentarians from allied parties in the auditorium of the CCBB (Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil), seat of the transitional government, on Thursday (10), the president-elect spoke about his participation in COP 27.

“I’m already going to have more conversations with world leaders in Egypt in a single day than Bolsonaro had in four years. One of the things we’re going to do is put Brazil back at the center of international geopolitics,” he said. “You have no idea of the expectations that Brazil is generating in the world.”

On the way back from Egypt to Brazil, the PT member should disembark in Portugal for a meeting with António Costa and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, respectively, prime minister and president.
