The trial of the 38-year-old head of the self-proclaimed “Church of the Nations”, Harry Tsakonidis and his 24-year-old partner, Dimitris Panapakidis, was postponed to May 8.who were arrested in Thessaloniki in August, after the uproar with the exorcism ceremonies in the center of the city and are accused of illegally operating a place of worship, without possessing the required license to operate a public house of the relevant Law.

The arrest

It is recalled that at noon on Saturday, August 27, police officers of A.T. Thermis went to the former entertainment center “Neraida”, in the area of ​​the airport “Macedonia” in eastern Thessaloniki, as the alleged place of worship was operating there without a permit. 25 believers were found inside the area.

The police handcuffed 24-year-old Dimitris Panapakidis, the right-hand man of the head of the sect, who declared himself temporarily in charge of the facility.

A little while later the head of the “Church of the Nations” Charalambos Tsakonidis, voluntarily presented himself to A.T. Thermis and was also arrested. The two men were arrested for violating the “Religious Freedom” law.
