The murder of the 43-year-old woman in a tavern in Sotiritsa by her 54-year-old husband is being revived today in the halls of the Mixed Jury Court of Volos.

The murder took place on August 3, 2021 in Sotiritsa Agias and in the family tavern, where the unfortunate woman was found, having been called a few months earlier by her mother to help in the business, as the owner’s brother was facing a health problem, from which he actually died in beginning of 2022.

The 54-year-old went to Larissa from Athens, where he worked as a taxi driver, and killed his 43-year-old wife. The 54-year-old had met and married the 43-year-old when the woman was just 18 years old and together they had three children, aged between 12 and 25.

The 43-year-old used to go to the beaches of Larissa in the summers and help in the family tavern-ouzeri business, located on the coastal road of Sotiritsa. The couple had problems and the 43-year-old had asked her lawyer to start the proceedings for the divorce.

The case had shocked Panhellenium, on the one hand for the fact that the murderer shot and killed the 43-year-old woman in cold blood, on the other hand for the fact that the husband killer recorded his wife’s last words on his cell phonewhile shooting her with a revolver, a family heirloom.

Afterwards, the perpetrator called the police authorities, confessed his act and surrendered.
