Festival Fartura arrives in São Paulo with food from all over the country

The Fartura – Gastronomia do Brasil project presents, between November 8 and 27, the Season Fartura, which consists of gastronomic festivals in all regions of Brazil and Portugal.

The events are an arm of the Fartura platform, whose objective is to promote social transformation and development for the members of the entire production chain of the ingredients used in the preparation of dishes.

Expedições Fartura, another front of the project, has already traveled around 90 thousand kilometers through Brazil, searching for stories, ingredients and local recipes, told in books and films. public.

In São Paulo, the festival is this Saturday (19), from 10 am to 10 pm, and Sunday (20), from 10 am to 8 pm, at the Jockey Club. It is the eighth edition of the event, which will have chefs and producers from all Brazilian states.

In addition to options for eating and drinking over the two days, the festival will have, among other attractions, live cooking (in which chefs will prepare dishes in front of visitors, who will be able to buy them later), free cooking classes and an interactive space. , where the public cooks with the chefs.

This year, the events started in Belo Horizonte and Nova Lima (MG), between the 8th and the last Saturday (12th).

The cities of Minas received five international chefs (one Spanish, one Australian, one English, one French and one Portuguese), who prepared dinners, in addition to a producers’ fair.

In Brasília, there will be a dinner for the event this Wednesday (16th) and there is also a gastronomic itinerary, available between the 10th and 20th, created by the curators of Fartura, which consists of a tour of five establishments with dishes and drinks created specifically for the festival. .

There will also be events in Florianópolis (this Thursday, 17th), Belém (Saturday, 19th) — in both cities there is also a gastronomic itinerary, just like in Brasília, available between the 10th and 20th, and Fortaleza (from the 25th to the 27th) .

Fartura also foresees an arm in Lisbon. This is the Fartura – Viver Portugal project, which will seek to bring Brazil and the European country closer through gastronomy and business generation. The event is expected to take place in April 2023.
