According to ELAS, in the context of investigating incidents of burglaries-thefts from apartments in the areas of Paleo Faliro and Nea Smyrni, a special police team was set up to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
A 40-year-old Georgian man was arrested, in the area of Agios Panteleimon, by police officers of the Security Department of Palaio Faliro, accused of being part of a gang that committed consecutive thefts. Co-accused are other members, one of whom has been identified.
He is 29 years old, also Georgian.

As for their mode of action, it appears that at least two of the members of the criminal organization had the role of a chiller, while the arrested together with his 29-year-old accomplice broke into apartment buildings by breaking into the central entrances and then the doors of the apartments.
From the preliminary investigation of the Security Department of Palaio Faliro, three cases have been solved so far, while the investigation continues to identify other cases, as well as the remaining members of the gang.
The arrested person was taken to the criminal prosecutor of Athens.
