It’s time to take the Brazilian national team shirt out of the drawer, sort out the vuvuzelas, gather the family and start the sweepstakes with friends, because it’s already the World Cup. On the outskirts of São Paulo, there is no shortage of spaces to follow the competition games, have a beer and eat a snack.

For the event, bars have already adapted the decor and are preparing to receive an increase in the public. “We are very excited, we want to receive our friends and customers as if they were in the backyard. With a cold beer and grilled food to feed the review”, says Daniel Faria, 42, who runs Sônego Bistrô, in the south zone of the capital.

He installed televisions both on the ground floor and on the first floor of the bar, called the premium floor, in addition to having a special program offering barbecue, drinks and bar snacks during the period.

On the other side of the city, in the north zone, Arena ZN hopes that the off-season World Cup will bring even more fans. “It’s not that dry weather, that winter climate, so the Cup coincided with summer and the expectation is very high so that we can be six times champions”, says Eduardo Neves, 32, who takes care of the communication of the space, which also has sports courts .

“Since it is a house focused on sports, students and employees breathe sports, and transmitting the World Cup matches at the Arena to the public is being well expected by everyone.”

In addition to a bar, the Arena ZN offers a court for practicing sports on the sand and classes in footvolley, beach tennis, beach and functional volleyball, living up to the name “arena”. Bar do Luiz Fernandes

One of the most traditional in the north zone, the bar has been open since 1970 and offers its clientele snacks and snacks, including the most popular in the house: the meat ball. With a large lounge, the space displays newspaper clippings on the walls where it has already been quoted and is a reference when talking about a spot to watch football matches, especially international ones, such as the European Championship. For the days when Brazil plays in the Cup, the house will operate with advance reservations.

A few meters from the Artur Alvim subway and close to the Neo Química Arena, Itaquerão, the Bola Bar is packed on match days and it should be no different during the World Cup. The address has live music, an open space for customers on sunny days, in addition to offering snacks, sandwiches, meat and meals, with beers and drinks on the drinks menu. Portions range from R$21 (cassava or fried polenta) to R$49 (shrimp fried). Beers are in the range of R$ 7 to R$ 10.

Boteco do Roque

Boteco e Restaurante do Roque is the ideal place for those who enjoy samba and pagode. Featured in the gastronomic guide of the Prato Firmeza ravines, Sônego Bistrô has a lookout with a panoramic view of the Chácara Santana region. The highlight of the address is the craft beer itself — when you buy eight bottles, you pay five. They also offer snacks, fries and feijoada.
