“The Law is the Law and it applies to everyone. No exceptions, no discriminatory treatment,” said the Minister of Citizen Protection

For the government, there are no blind spots and “gray zones” of control and law enforcement, says the Minister of Citizen Protection Takis Theodorikakos in his social media post about the latest allegations about the Ark of the World:

“The Law is the Law and it applies to everyone. No exceptions, no discrimination. For no one. Whoever the perpetrator is, whoever the victim is.

For us there are no boundaries and “gray zones” of control and law enforcement.

That is why and following complaints of child abuse in the “Ark of the World”, the Greek Police absolutely assist in the judicial investigation which is in progress. In order to reveal – also in this case – the whole truth.

The disclosure and punishment of every criminal act – as long as it has been committed and proven – is a necessary condition for the relationship of trust between the State and citizens. But also the preservation of social cohesion and the self-evident claim of every citizen for equality in practice.

This constitutes, for the political leadership of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, our self-evident mission which we serve every day.
