What the “Smile of the Child” announcement says

A child was spotted sleeping unaccompanied outside the “Apollo” theater in Patras by a citizen, who called the “child’s smile”.

As stated in the announcement from “Smile of the Child”:

“At 5:30 in the morning from Patras, we received a call from a citizen that a child was sleeping outside the “APOLLO” theater down on the marble and there was no adult with him.

We notified immediate action and the child was transferred to the 2nd Police Department of Patras. Our assistance was requested with a vehicle and escort from the Association to transport the child to the hospital following a verbal prosecutor’s order.

The child was immediately transported to the hospital. There he bathed, put on warm clothes, ate and lay down.

OF…. he seemed so happy that we put socks on him (so much so that he asked us to take a picture of him wearing socks), that he had a warm bath and asked us to cover him with a blanket and wrap him up warmly as he kept getting cold!

From the investigation in our records were found complaints, information to the prosecutor’s office and calls to immediate action.

The Police told us that his mother is in prison and his father, who has not recognized him, is an itinerant musician usually under the influence of alcohol.

There is an aunt who has also concerned the authorities. People from the Association are with the child near the hospital.”
