The BMW i4 is a four-door gran coupé that combines the spaciousness and practicality of this automotive philosophy with the sporty capabilities for which BMW is famous and a convincing range for long journeys.
It is the first purely electric model of the brand that emphasizes the dynamic performance from the beginning. Initially, two versions of the model are available, including the first BMW M with zero-emission drive system. The BMW i4 M50 (with combined power consumption of 19 kWh / 100 km according to the WLTP standard), a high-performance model of the BMW M GmbH, uses an electric motor on the front axle and another at the rear, offering a total system power of 400 kW / 544 hp and excellent driving pleasure – while its range reaches 510 km in the WLTP cycle. The BMW i4 eDrive40 (with combined power consumption of 16 kWh / 100 km according to WLTP) combines a 250 kW / 340 hp electric motor with classic rear-wheel drive.
The i4 eDrive40 is expected in Greece in the new year and costs from 54,850 euros – with the subsidy of the program “I move electrically”, 48,850 euros.
Its maximum autonomy, according to the WLTP standard, is 590 km. The BMW i4 M50 with the Sport Boost program releases maximum power and torque of 795 Nm of the drive system. This allows the BMW M version to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds. The BMW i4 eDrive40 drive delivers a maximum torque of 430 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds. .
The total energy content of the high voltage battery is 83.9 kWh (net energy content 80.7 kWh). With a center of gravity up to 53 mm lower than that of the BMW 3 Series Sedan, uniform weight distribution, a torsionally rigid and lightweight body, excellent aerodynamics (Cd: 0.24) and in addition a long wheelbase and wide tracks create the best recipe for sports BMW capabilities and exceptional long-distance comfort.
The impressive interior is dominated by the all-digital BMW Curved Display, with the display screen (12.3΄΄) and the control screen (14.9΄΄).
Internally, the all-digital BMW Curved Display, the display section (12.3 ΄΄) and the control screen (14.9 ΄΄) merge into one unit behind a glass sloping towards the driver. Digital Intelligent Personal Assistant has acquired additional capabilities and uses new graphics to communicate with passengers.
The first BMW i4 have already been released on the streets of Munich, while in Greece they are expected to be released with the new year. The basic i4 eDrive40 is rear-wheel drive, with 340 hp and costs from 54,850 euros. With the subsidy of the program “I move electrically” its final price is 48,850 euros.
