The illegal use of social media, this time by a high school student in Kavala, almost landed his teacher in big trouble.
The student created a fake Facebook profile with the details of his high school teacher, in order to send messages to his classmates.
This illegal activity was noticed by the affected professor, who requested that the perpetrator be revealed, as otherwise he would have appealed to the Electronic Crime Prosecution Service.
In this case, the student who created the fake profile would face prosecution and possible prosecution for impersonation and a number of other offenses.
Under these circumstances and under the burden of being in a very unfavorable position, the student revealed his identity and the matter concerned the high school teachers’ association, which made the necessary recommendations to the student for compliance, reminding him, at the same time, what a similar act in the future.
The fake profile was immediately deleted and after the necessary explanations were given, the school community closed the matter without further consequences.
The head of the Directorate of Secondary Education of P.E. Kavala’s Daniel Emmanuilidis, speaking to APE-MPE, characterized the issue and the student’s action as a frivolity, for which his parents were informed, who condemned their child’s action.
