They were arrested today in the early hours of the morning in the area of Grevena, two Albanian nationals, 22 and 27 years old, were arrested by police officers of the Kastoria Narcotics Prosecution Department and the Cross-Border Crime Squad, for trafficking a large amount of raw cannabis.
During a check, a vehicle was spotted in the area of Kastoria whose driver did not comply with a police stop sign and sped off to avoid the police check.
Subsequently the vehicle stopped in the area of Grevena and in a check carried out it was found that the 22-year-old driver and the 27-year-old female passenger were carrying together three travel bags containing 45 improvised packages of raw cannabis, with a total weight of 45 kg and 650 grams.
The Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Kastoria Security Sub-Directorate initiated a preliminary investigation into the case, while those arrested with the criminal case filed against them will be brought to the Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Kastoria.
