Her sentence was decided not to be suspended, but the appeal has staying power. Consequently, she appealed against the decision and was released

A 47-year-old nursery nurse was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison, without parole who was referred to be tried at the Autoforo Three-member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki, accused of beating and abusing infants aged up to 1.5 years, at a private station in Thessaloniki, where she worked.

There had been a complaint by her colleaguefollowing which she was arrested and charged with criminal charges.

After a marathon evidentiary process, the Court found her guilty of simple bodily harm to the detriment of minors, committed and attempted, consecutive and consecutive.

Her sentence was decided not to be suspended, but the appeal has a stay of execution. Consequently, appealed against the decision and was released.

“He would hit the children on the cheeks or the hands [….] He called them when they whined or didn’t eat their food or when they had trouble sleeping. They were boned every time,” said, among other things, the complainant.

“I was afraid of being fired and that’s why I didn’t say anything” he added and added that the management knew nothing about her behavior. The parents of the children testified in court and said they were shocked by the content of the complaints.

“They present me as a monster. I’m a mother too”

Apologizing, the defendant denied the charge, citing fraud against her.

“I’m shocked […] I never thought I would be in this position. I love my children and my work very much,” he said, while at another point he pointed out:

“I had a hard time having a child and I would never treat a child like that. Whoever you ask, I love all children. They are portraying me as a monster, and I am a mother,” she said, breaking into sobs.
