SKAI revelation: Threats, mistreatment and pressure for… transfer of real estate to the Ark of the World

by

New complaints are coming to light about the Ark of the World, which SKAI reveals.

According to them there are reports of threats, mistreatment and even pressure to transfer real estate to the NGO.

Complaints about the living conditions of the children in the structures and about their separation from their relatives.

“It took us two months to see the child. We thought it was in the Kolonos structure and they brought it there by bus so we could see it,” the inmate’s aunt emphasizes to SKAI and adds:

“The child was in the dirt, he had lice on his head with clothes different from the ones we had given him. The child was very dirty, scared and scared,” he said.

At the same time, the child’s aunt emphasized that the social worker threatened the child that he would never see his family again if he revealed his poor living conditions to them.

Finally, she reported that when she took clothes to the structure to distribute to the children, the social worker said to her, shocking her: “What are we going to do with the clothes, madam? Do you have a house?”

In another case, an inmate reveals that beatings and punishments were a daily occurrence.

“Wood, cuffs, thrusts. Because we weren’t listening. If you listened to what they told you, you were rewarded accordingly. They took you on a cruise, abroad, things like that.”

Just six underwritings in 2021

Meanwhile, it is surprising that while the main task of the World Ark is to find foster families for the children it hosted, the numbers show the opposite.

In 2021, the NGO proceeded with only six underwritings, while in Greece there were a total of 210.
