The Ministry of Education has announced the deadline for submitting an Application-Declaration of candidacy to participate in this year’s National Examinations, for those who wish to participate in them.

In particular, the deadline for this year is set from Tuesday 29-11-2022 to Monday 12-12-2022 for all candidates who wish to participate in the Pan-Hellenic examinations of General High Schools (GEL) and Vocational High Schools (EPAL). This deadline is exclusive and no Application-Declaration will be accepted after it has passed.

The candidate (student or graduate) can obtain the Application – Declaration that corresponds to his case either from the internet or from his high school. He will then complete the Application – Declaration according to the instructions on the form and will come to his High School, for its final electronic submission.

Also, as informed by the ministry, the relevant circulars with the corresponding Application-Declaration models are already being sent to high schools.

For candidates with disabilities and special educational needs or special learning difficulties who are examined orally or in writing on a case-by-case basis, a newer circular will follow regarding the supporting documents that must be submitted.

In addition, during the same deadline (Tuesday 29-11-2022 to Monday 12-12-2022), candidates who may be interested in the 3 Music Departments with the special admission procedure (the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University, the Department of Music of Science and Art of the University of Macedonia, and the Department of Music Studies of the University of Ioannina), in addition to the Application-Declaration for the nationwide exams, they should also submit a relevant Application-Declaration for the 3 Music Departments.

3. Candidates for 10% of the places (without a new examination) can only be those who were examined nationwide in 2021 or 2022 (with the daily GEL or with the daily EPAL). Those who wish to be candidates for 10% of the seats, will now not submit the Application-Declaration, but a direct computerized slip. If they wish to enter the Army, Police, Fire Brigade, Coast Guard, AEN, they submit a relevant application to the relevant Ministry and participate in the preliminary examinations (March-April 2023).

Candidates for the 10% with the last exam in 2021, will claim their admission with the condition of EBE, as it was formed in the nationwide exams of 2021. Those of the candidates who fall into the special category of candidates-suffering from serious illnesses (for admission to the 5% of places admitted without examinations), must apply to one of the competent seven-member committees of the hospitals, in order to obtain a certificate of their illness . These candidates, since they do not wish to participate in the national examinations, do not submit the Application-Declaration now, but will submit a computerized version on dates to be announced later.
