Peugeot 3008: Walking with the Best Seller of SUVs

by

The Peugeot 3008 is the top seller for the C-SUV segment and we are enjoying our journey with the Best Seller.

From the outset, the latest generation 3008 was destined to top the rankings and it did. The reason; The wide efficient range of engines, the beautiful design, while driving the French know how to keep their passengers comfortable and safe.

That’s why we decided to drive the Peugeot 3008 in the version with the diesel engine and see how comfortable and economical it is based on today’s data.

First, the distance from the ground is 219 mm, which gives us the possibility to step off-road without stress, but also with the confidence of the Advanced Grip Control system. The latter has four traction options Normal, Snow, Mud and Sand. Depending on where you are moving, the car automatically adjusts the throttle response and the ESP.

Under the hood we find the 1.5 diesel with 130 hp and 300 Nm of torque, which is agile in our reactions and at the same time has low fuel consumption. More specifically, within the city it reaches 6.5 lt./100 km and during our route on the highway the price dropped to 5 lt./100 km.

The interior is something we’re used to from Peugeot with the i-Cockpit and plenty of space, even under the armrest. The driving position is high and there is all-round visibility, feeling confident in controlling the 4.5m car. The Peugeot 3008 is designed to move you comfortably and economically, that’s why its performance is decent and it doesn’t set… the asphalt on fire. If, of course, you are looking for performance, then the Plug-in Hybrid version is the one that will satisfy you.

According to the official figures of the SEAA, the Peugeot 3008 is at the top of sales in the C-SUV category with 2,410 registrations (data up to October 2022). The starting price of the model is 33,300 euros.
