Two (2) foreigners, aged 33 and 37, were arrested as part of the spontaneous procedure, in the morning hours of 13-12-2021 in Athens, by police officers of the Immediate Action Directorate, for joint robbery, grievous bodily harm and kidnapping.
Specifically, in the afternoon of 12-12-2021, the above perpetrators broke into a ground floor house in Athens and, after forcibly immobilizing the 23-year-old foreign tenant, took away his money.
The perpetrators then immobilized the victim with the use of wire and with the use of physical force demanded that he contact his parents, in order to ask for a “ransom” for his release.
In the morning hours of 13-12-2021, following calls from the victim for help, which were noticed by locals, the Police were notified.
Immediate action police officers arrived and in order to protect a person who was in danger, they entered the house, arrested the two perpetrators before they managed to escape and released the victim.
The 23-year-old victim was taken to hospital for first aid.
A piece of wire, a metal bar -86- cm long and a wooden bar -71- cm long were found and confiscated at the scene.
The arrested, with the case file formed by the T.A. Kolonou, were taken to the Athens Public Prosecutor for Misdemeanors.
