On the coastal front and mainly in Paralia and Olympic Beach, the problems are identified, which caused heavy rains late at night in the Municipality of Katerinis.
In particular, the volume of water in the coastal zone and more specifically in the T.K. Paralias and in Olympiaki was particularly large, with the result that it hampered the uninterrupted flow and discharge of the channels, causing flooding phenomena in the coastal road network. Problems were recorded in canals in the area, as well as in single-story buildings (houses, businesses).
The competent Department of Civil Protection, the mechanism and all the involved services of the Municipality of Katerini, in cooperation with the competent authorities, throughout the night, attempted where it was deemed necessary.
The operational action and vigilance in which the Municipality of Katerini has been placed from the first moment, in order to deal with the problems caused by the bad weather, continues.
