On Wednesday 7/12 the application platform for 3 programs opens
A total of 68,000 new jobs will be created by its 6 new programs to boost employment, 3 of which will be “run” by the Public Employment Service (DYPA) as early as Wednesday. The financing comes from resources of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, which reach 490 million euros.
The approximately 68,000 beneficiaries of the programs are unemployed, with particular emphasis on the long-term unemployed, young people, women, people with disabilities and other vulnerable population groups, as well as the unemployed in areas of high unemployment.
With these programs, DYPA finds a “Job for you”, as is the slogan of the information campaign, in businesses that are invited to take advantage of the incentives and submit an application on the relevant platform. The new actions subsidize the creation of new jobs and the hiring of the unemployed, thus effectively supporting businesses to continue to “move” the economy, to “move” the whole country and move it forward.
On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, the first three upgraded programs to boost employment start, which will lead to the creation of 30,000 new jobs, while in the new year another three programs will “run” which will create an additional 37,750 new jobs.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, said: “The Ministry of Labor will contribute through the Recovery Fund to the creation of 68,000 new jobs. These new jobs will further reduce unemployment and create new positive prospects, especially for young people, women, people with disabilities and the long-term unemployed.”
The Governor of DYPA, Spyros Protopsaltis, said: “The Public Employment Service subsidizes work. Guided by the successful active employment policies we have implemented over the past three years, we have designed a new round of programs starting this week, funded by the Recovery Fund. In particular, applications are being launched for three programs that will create a total of 30,000 jobs. Applications start on Wednesday. These programs give very important incentives to businesses to hire the unemployed through very high subsidy rates that reach up to 100% of salary and contributions. Specifically, one program will subsidize the creation of 10,000 jobs for long-term unemployed people aged 45 and over, another program will give 10,000 young people the opportunity to gain 7-month professional experience with a 100% subsidy from DYPA, and the third program will help 10,000 unemployed people facing significant barriers to reintegration into the labor market to be able to find the position they deserve in the labor market”.
