At the height of Zevgolati, on the Corinth-Patron highway, the ambulance was attacked by stones on the windshield on the driver’s side
Haro with their eyes saw the crew of the ambulance where he was going from Patras to Athens and transported an intubated person to an Athens hospital. At the height of Zevgolati, on the Korinthos-Patras highway, the ambulance was attacked by stones on the windshield on the driver’s side.
Thanks to the calmness of the driver, the vehicle continued on its way, and arrived at the Corinth Hospital where the intubated person was transferred to another ambulance to be transferred to the hospital in Athens.
The EKAV crew was not injured in the attack.
In diversion of traffic towards the old national road, in the Ancient Corinth-Kiato section (in both directions), the Olympia Road proceeded, by order of the Traffic, due to Roma protests, which have gathered in the area of Zevgolati.
According to the first information, the gathered are throwing stones, while police forces are rushing. A little earlier, Roma also burned tires on NATO Avenue in Aspropyrgos, which has now been given over to traffic, while a little earlier the national highway heading towards Corinth had been closed and traffic was taking place on the old national highway and in the section from Megara to Pachi.
