The incident, brought to light by cretalive.gr, took place a few days ago in Heraklion, and the case reached the Authorities after the complaint of the woman, with whom the 59-year-old has three daughters, aged 9, 5 and 2 years.
According to what the victim complains, the man entered the house while she was cooking fish soup for the children, even holding the smallest in her arms. The 59-year-old, as soon as he realized the fish soup, scolded her in a strong tone, saying that “this is not food for children” and demanded to fry potatoes. In fact, he allegedly went to the kitchen angrily to … fry them!
According to the woman’s testimony, when she tried to tell him that what she was doing was not right (everything was going on in front of the children), he got even angrier and did not hesitate to hit her, despite the fact that he was still holding the little girl in hug. The other two children were frightened and ran scared to their room, while when she went and left the 2-year-old girl in the room, the 59-year-old hit her even harder.
During the preliminary investigation, the 59-year-old allegedly claimed that he did make a remark about the food and said about the potatoes, however, things did not happen as the 43-year-old says. He even said that the woman is vindictive and curses him.
The 59-year-old did not appear in Autoforo, however, the 43-year-old was there, who testified that it was the first time he had beaten her in the 10 years they have been together, however his behavior lately is bad and she can not bear to continue living with this man.
