Those arrested lit fires and threw stones at passing vehicles in N.E.O. Athens – Patras downstream to Patras
Police operations continue throughout the country to prevent and fight crime, while in the context of these, on Friday night, a targeted operational action was carried out in the wider area of Corinth.
A total of five people were brought in from the operation, of which three were arrested and a case file was filed against them for the offenses of standing, disturbing the peace, dangerous interventions in road traffic, obstructing traffic, damage to foreign property and violations of the law for the weapons, while at the same time two vehicles were seized.
In particular, those arrested, in the evening hours of yesterday, Friday, December 9, 2022, and specifically from 99.5 to 101.5 N.E.O. Athens – Patras in the traffic stream to Patras, fires were lit, resulting in the interruption of the traffic of the passing vehicles, on which stones were also thrown, causing damage both to them and to the road surface.
The case is handled by the Corinth Security Department and investigations continue to identify other participants.
