Patras: Brutal break-in at the offices of the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease “Floga”

by

On Saturday morning “Floga” held the established bazaar on the pedestrian street of Riga Feraios where the inseparable prevailed – “Just because they would take the money of children who are fighting for their illness, it is sacrilege”

The break-in that took place in the early hours of Sunday 11/12/2022 at the offices of the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease “Floga” on Filopoimenos Street, in Patras, could only be characterized as sacrilege.

Surprised executives of “Floga”, opened the office yesterday afternoon and found that on the one hand everything was upside down and on the other hand the balcony door was broken.

The burglars succeeded and entered the offices of “Floga” from the apartment next door, which houses the Cleitorolefkasion Association of Patras. And that’s because the door of the “Flame” is a security one. They jumped from the balcony, broke the balcony door and invaded the premises. They grabbed 600 euros they found in the drawer and a television.

It is clear that the burglary did not happen by accident. On Saturday morning, “Floga” held the established bazaar on the pedestrian street of Riga Feraios, where inseparability prevailed. The burglars thought the auction money would be inside the office but the president and board members, after counting, moved it to another location as they never leave donation or “auction” money in the office. However, there were 600 euros for some payments which the perpetrators found. Who of course had in mind “big bang” but… they were disappointed! “And just because they would take the money of children fighting for their illness, it is sacrilege” declares Marina Rizogianni on behalf of “Floga”.

Fortunately, however, the members of the Board of Directors had foreseen, so the money from the auction is safe and will be given for the purposes of the Association, which for decades has been helping the parents of children with neoplastic disease.
