Issues that need to be resolved for the implementation of the new law on HEIs occupied today’s session
“The problems faced by the implementation of the new law with regard to the provisions for the selection of members of the Boards of Administration and the subsequent appointment of Rectors” the Synod of Rectors found, among other things, in its announcement with the findings after the end of the Synod .

The Synod also emphasizes “the need to adapt the provisions concerning pedagogical competence and at least the extension of the current operating framework for one year to facilitate the smooth completion of studies of final year students”.
Regarding the implementation of the new law “there is an immediate need to resolve all technical issues related to the implementation of the law and the issuance of the necessary circulars and ministerial decisions”.
Once again, the “years” are highlighted understaffing problems of Universities, especially for administrative staff” and the need to secure technical assistance, necessary “for the implementation of the ambitious projects and actions resulting from the requirements of the financial tools, but also the conditions for the implementation of the new law”.
It is also important, continues the announcement of the Synod, to give the necessary directions and to immediately promote the submission of new Organizations and Internal Regulations for the country’s universities that will provide for the required positions of administrative staff.
The problem of delays in the implementation of the EPA remains critical, especially for the maintenance and upgrading of the building and laboratory infrastructures of the Universities.
