The 14-year-old has suffered serious brain injuries and was airlifted to Athens early on Saturday
Traffic with one 14 year old to be very seriously injured and need to be airlifted to an Athens hospital on Saturday morning, it was noted on Friday in Zakynthos.
According to information from ERT, the traffic accident occurred shortly before midnight on Friday on the road of Sarakinados in the area of Agios Kirikos, when the car, in which two minors, 15 and 14 years old, were traveling, for an as yet unknown reason, deviated from its course and crashed into in a ditch.
The 14-year-old, who was riding as a passenger in the I.X. has suffered severe brain injuries, while the car was driven by one 15 year old.
The doctors of the Zakynthos hospital to which the 14-year-old was initially transferred established the seriousness of the craniocerebral injuries in the boy and requested his airlift to the “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital.
The operation to airlift the 14-year-old from Zakynthos was completed at 5 am on Saturday, while the Zakynthos traffic police are conducting an investigation into the causes of the accident.
