Inside the school and during working hours, the group of children tied up the 12-year-old, cut him with a knife and burned him with a cigarette… In fact, the alleged perpetrator of the incident, according to the lawyer, was punished with a six-day suspension from school.
It became known to the court that a few days ago, the children of the prosecution witnesses and one more, put their 12-year-old classmate “in front” in the theft of a bicycle. The 12-year-old confessed to the police, the “gang” considered him a “nail” and threatened him at school, that’s why they followed him outside his house, so then they presented the lie with the carbine.
An assessment by a committee of the Ministry of Education was presented to the court, according to which the 12-year-old who receives bowling is a child with special needs and the strange thing is that he does not attend classes in a special school, but remains in Almyros High School where he experiences “hell”.
The child of the couple who sat on the bench for the last two years is verbally and physically abused by his three classmates, without the school intervening to protect the 12-year-old.
“Protect my child,” the 12-year-old’s mother told the judges when asked to apologize for … insulting and threatening her son’s classmates.
The mother named the children of the “gang” in court, two of which are children of the couple who made the complaint against her and her husband last Thursday.
“I only told them not to disturb my child again. They play with him, they use him because he is good and they do delinquent things,” she said, while when she stopped the children to talk to them, they answered: what do you want, bro…
“My child came running that day from school and was crying. They had grabbed him by the neck and threatened him because he was a “nail”. I couldn’t stand it, I went out into the street and as soon as I saw them pass by – because they were looking for my child – I warned them not to bother him again. I did not curse the children, nor did I threaten them,” the mother, who was constantly in tears, asserted.
The testimony of her husband, who was accused of pulling a rifle on the children, was moved in the same style. “I don’t have a rifle, I’m not a hunter, I’m an unemployed person who wasn’t even at the incident with the children,” he answered the judges. When asked why he has never denounced his child’s tormentors, he replied that he fears for his future at school due to reprisals.
A professional, who runs a business near their home, testified in court as a defense witness for the couple. The witness was going to his business at the time and he didn’t even see the 12-year-old’s father with a rifle, only a mother begging them to leave her child alone, in a scene of tension.
The parents who reported that their children were “shot” described their 13-year-old son as simply lively and confirmed that he had a 6-day abortion after the episode with the 12-year-old, but when asked about the reason for the abortion after the torture, they said that they did not remember the details and that “this event is not being tried today”.
The court found the accused couple innocent, with the lawyer Mr. Makris declaring that he will not drop the case as he himself comes from Almyros. He will request an investigation into the attitude of the school director and responsibility for what is happening inside it, while he will file a report against journalists for their deletion as he said he was informed that they were chasing the 12-year-old inside the school for a statement.
