Two pairs of Turkish F-16s entered the Athens FIR in the morning without filing flight plans, violated the national airspace and flew again over Kinaro – east of Amorgos – after the evening flight of a Turkish unmanned UAV over the specific islet while the second Turkish pair flew over and from the adjacent Glaros.
As it became known from GEETHA:
“A pair of Turkish F-16s entered the Athens FIR without filing a flight plan, violated national airspace and then flew over Kinaro at 25,000 feet at 09:43 am.
Three minutes later. second pair of Turkish F-16s entered the Athens FIR. without filing a flight plan, violated national airspace and again flew over Kinaro and also Glaros (east of Kinaro) at 19,000 feet.
It is recalled that at 02:56 in the morning a Turkish UAV entered the Athens FIR, without filing a flight plan, violated the national airspace and then flew over Kinaro at 18,000 feet.
In all cases the Turkish aircraft and the Turkish UAV were identified and intercepted, in accordance with international rules as a matter of course.”
