According to the police, the 34-year-old driver of an I.X.E. car, moving on the exit of the Ring Road, heading from Diagoras Street to Ring Road (opposite to the one-way), collided with another I.X.E. car, driven by a 35-year-old man. The 34-year-old then left the scene of the accident on foot without taking the actions required by law.
A short time later the man was arrested. He was subjected to a breathalyzer test which came back positive.

The immediate mobilization of police officers of the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate led to the spontaneous arrest of a 34-year-old citizen who was involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening (12-25-2022) leaving the scene of the accident.
In particular, the 34-year-old, as a driver of I.X.E. car, moving on the exit of the Ring Road, heading from Diagoras Street to Ring Road (opposite to the one-way), collided with another I.X.E. car, driven by a 35-year-old man. The 34-year-old then left the scene of the accident on foot without taking the actions required by law, but was located and arrested in a short time.
The result of the collision was the slight injury of both drivers as well as a passenger of one of the vehicles who were transported to on-call Hospitals of the city.
After the medical examinations, the arrested person was taken to the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate, where a test was carried out to determine the amount of alcohol with a positive result.
The arrested person will be taken to the competent Prosecutor.
