The news of his death was announced via Facebook by his son, Christos Syriotis.

“Goodbye my father. Goodbye my world. fly high” he wrote on his personal account.

The funeral procession of the beloved actor will take place tomorrow, Friday 30/12, at the Holy Church of the Assumption, in Tavros, at 11 in the morning.

Who was Thodoris Syriotis?

Theodoros Syriotis was a graduate of the “Free Theater” School of Drama in Thessaloniki. He collaborated with many troupes, such as the Greek Folk Theater of Manos Katrakis, while he joined the staff of the National Theater in 1959 and remained a permanent member for a number of years until 1989.

He was loved by the Greek public through the series “Micromesaioi”. It is a television series by Yiannis Dalianidis that aired in the period 1992-1993 and referred to the Greek everyday life of the time.

In his long-term collaboration with the National Theater, Thodoros Syriotis collaborated with directors such as Alexis Minotis, Alexis Solomos, Takis Mouzenidis, Kostis Michaelidis, Giorgos Sevastikoglou, Spyros Evaggelato, Jules Dassin and others.

After leaving the National Theater he collaborated with Free Theater troupes such as Giorgos Constantinou, Katerinas Gioulakis, G. Nikolaidis, Thymios Karakatsanis, Giorgos Kimoulis, Alikis Vougiouklakis, as well as with several municipal regional theaters, such as Thessalian Theater and Dipethe Volos .

In recent years he collaborated with the State Theater of Northern Greece and participated in many theater shows of the Hellenic Radio, in film productions and many television series.
