Delegation of the US Congress at a military installation in Larissa

US senators visited the facilities of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade in Stefanovikio and the 110th Fighter Wing in Larissa.

A delegation from the US Congress visited on December 27 the facilities of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade in Stefanovikio and the 110th Fighter Wing in Larissa.

As announced today, the delegation was received by the commander of the 1st Army, Lt. Gen. Angelos Houdeloudis, as a representative of the GEETHA chief, General Konstantinos Floros and the chief of Tactical Aviation, Lt. Gen. (I) George Fasoulas.

The delegation, which exchanged greetings with U.S. Armed Forces personnel deployed at the facility, included House of Representatives member and chairman of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa and Global Counterterrorism David Cicilline as lead, as well as Congressmen Joe Wilson, Susan Wild, Sara Jacobs, Kat Cammack and Amata Coleman Radewagen.

The delegation, accompanied by the commander of the 1st Army, Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, visited the headquarters of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade in Stefanovikio, Volos, where personnel and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters of the 1st CAB of the US Army Air Force have been installed.

During the visit, a joint training-demonstration of capabilities took place with the participation of AH-64A, AH-64D and OH-58D helicopters of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade and UH-60 helicopters of the US Army Air Force, which demonstrated the level of cooperation and interoperability between participants.

Finally, during their visit to the 110th Fighter Wing, the congressional delegation toured its grounds and facilities, which host the US Air Force’s MQ-9 REAPER unmanned aerial vehicles, and exchanged greetings with their personnel.
