Free Serbian lessons for everyone in the Municipality of Thessaloniki

The only criterion for the selection of participants is the order of priority of incoming applications

A free Serbian language learning program is offered by the Department of Programs and Lifelong Learning of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, utilizing a relevant donation from the delegation of the Bosnian Serb Republic in Greece.

Citizens or residents of the Municipality of Thessaloniki can participate in the program. The required supporting documents are: a) for residents of Thessaloniki, a certificate of family status and b) for residents of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, a photocopy of a utility bill (electricity, gas, fixed telephony).

The courses are aimed at beginners (A1 level), will be held in one (1) class of 20 people, total duration of 48 hours, two teaching hours, two 2 times a week, every Tuesday and Friday from 17:30 to 19:15 during period February 2023 – May 2023 (7/2-12/5/2023).

The program will start on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 and the classes will be held at the Lifelong Learning Center of the Municipality of Thessaloniki (Egnatias 132), observing all health protocols.

The only criterion for the selection of participants is the order of priority of incoming applications.

Every interested party, before declaring participation in the program, must take into account that the declaration of participation must be submitted, after first weighing possible family, personal and professional commitments and obligations, due to the fact that attendance is mandatory and they have the right to be absent for a maximum of four courses.

Each student who completes the program will be awarded a certificate of attendance.

The start of submission of applications is on January 7, 2023 at 09:00 am. until the section and runners-up are filled. Applications are made online on the platform: https://opengov.thessaloniki.gr/opengov/eservices/serbian
