In the city of Rhodes, a store of health interest was found, in which illegal “gambling” was conducted.
For this case, eleven citizens and one foreigner were arrested by police officers of the Security Sub-Directorate and OPKE, against whom a case file was filed for carrying out and participating in illegal games of chance.
Specifically, it is about the manager of the store and eleven people-players.
In particular, after a check carried out, it was found that the person in charge of the business had organized the “TEXAS HOLD’ EM – POKER” game of chance with the participation of “DEALER” and players using chips and playing cards on a specially designed table.
To participate in the illegal game, players advanced an amount of money corresponding to chips of a corresponding value.
During the police check, 484 chips of various colors and values, playing cards and the sum of 765 euros were found and confiscated.
Those arrested will be taken to the District Court of Rhodes.
