Developments are expected in the case regarding the tragic death of the 16-year-old boxer, after the intervention of Supreme Court.
The deputy prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Virginia Sakellaropoulou, asked the sports prosecutor Costas Spyropoulos to carry out the investigation into the causes of the 16-year-old’s death as an absolute priority and to search for possible criminal responsibilities in all directions.
The preliminary examination it had started immediately after the injury of the young champion and all this time it has been carried out, through GADA, while according to information, it is heading towards its completion.
It is now expected forensic report for the death of the 16-year-old so that the police return the case file to the prosecutor.
The young European champion was injured during his regular training on Friday morning (16/12) in a gym in Kallithea.
The 16-year-old athlete felt unwell and subsequently fainted as a result of the fall he hit his head. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery.
