“We are devastated,” says brother of 29-year-old woman jailed for murdering her baby
The family of the 29-year-old woman who was remanded in custody for the murder of her baby is in a state of shock.
“We are devastated with what happened, our mother cries all day and the grandfather is in a miserable state, he has collapsed”, the 29-year-old’s brother tells GRTimes.
The house in the small village of Stavros Imathia has been plunged into deep mourning. Nothing reminds of the scene that existed there a few days ago, when the 29-year-old with her mother and brother were spending beautiful moments at their grandfather’s house. They all lived there for the last time with the grandfather having opened a huge hug to his daughter and grandchildren who were facing serious financial problems and had to find a way to stay somewhere leaving their house in Veria.
Some time later, as the 29-year-old’s brother says, the grandfather received the first major blow of his life with the death of his wife.
“It was a knife for the grandfather and for all of us when the grandmother died, they were together for a lifetime loved ones. How could he and we have imagined that two months later such a great evil would hit our home. I still can’t realize all that happened. I don’t believe my sister did such a thing to her child. My mother is miserable, she cries all day, the grandfather can’t handle it at all”, says her brother, speaking exclusively to GRTimes.
